What DMtheFounder collects, why, and how to have it deleted
The short version
You contact founders yourself, by email or on X. We don't sit in the thread and we never read your messages. We keep just enough to sign you in and to ask, later, whether the founder replied. We don't sell your data.
When you sign in
To see a founder's email address you sign in with your email. We send a one-time link; there is no password. We store your email address and the time you signed in.
When you contact a founder
- When you open a founder's email address, or click to reply to them on X while signed in, we record which role it was and when.
- Your email itself goes from your mail app to the founder. We don't see it, and we don't tell the founder anything about you.
- About 14 and 30 days later we may email you once each time to ask whether the founder replied. Your answer is never shown to the company. We use it to learn which roles are real and which founders reply, and to count offers made through the site.
Applications sent through our old form
Before October 2026 you could apply through a form and we forwarded it to the founder. If you did, we keep that application, your resume (stored privately) and the follow-up answers until you ask us to delete them.
When you post a job
We collect the company details, your work email and, optionally, your X handle. Your work email is never shown on the site; we use it to confirm the post and to ask whether the role is still open. If you also give a public contact email, it is shown only to signed-in visitors, never in the page itself, so bots can't collect it.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email with our email provider (Resend) to send the weekly digest. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Signing in does not subscribe you.
Usage numbers
We count page views and clicks per role (for example, how many people opened a role or clicked to email the founder). These counts are not linked to you.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores data.
- Resend sends our emails.
Deleting your data
Email support@dmthefounder.com and we will delete your account, your contact history, old applications, or a listing. Founders can ask us to edit or remove a listing at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date above.
